Ángel Ruíz Zúñiga is a mathematician and philosopher, born in San José, Costa Rica.

Her professional life has been associate to various themes: mathematical education, history and philosophy of the math, political philosophy and social development, sociology and history of the sciences and the technology, problems of the higher education, and matters of the world peace and the human progress.

Author of numerous books and academic articles, exhibitor and lecturer in scores of international Congresses, and constant organizer of scientific events, has been, also, consultant and advisor in university, academic, scientific matters and politicians for many years inside and out of Costa Rica.
